    I want to get a puppy but I work full time. Is it possible to do both?

    Puppies are like babies and need to feel that their owners are close by. They don’t cope at all well if left alone when they are young, even for short amounts of time. If you work or need to be away from the home during the day these early months with a puppy can be very challenging.

    Even just popping out to the shops can be traumatic for a young puppy. However, there are ways to be a working puppy owner, for example, using doggy day care, employing the services of a dog walker or sitter or asking family, friends or neighbours to help with puppy sitting.     You definitely need someone to keep an eye out for your puppy. I work at night and my girlfriend works in the day so we take turns with our puppy.
