How did you decide on the right breed or type for you?

We know we want an active doggie lifestyle but a medium sized dog who is also very versatile. We travel often so a dog who is content in our company was important and a calm temperament essential. Labradors are incredibly human friendly, they love attention and I wanted lots of cuddles. We chose a working Lab because we have lots of rural space and no intention of showing a dog. My husband had precious experience with a Lab and he recommenced this as a breed for me being new to dog ownership. I did some reading plus met a few for myself and agreed!
